[1941 - Leon Errol, Johnny Downs, The Merry Macs, Jane Frazee, Maria Montez - black&white - 60 minutes] A funny musical about a swing quartet who try to make ends meet in Hawaii by being tour guides while awaiting a radio job. Romance develops between a female visitor and a wealthy pineapple grower who's feuding with his distributor, and between her nieces and the quartet. Lots of musical numbers including Moonlight in Hawaii, One Finger Two Finger Three Finger Poi, and Hawaiian War Chant. Luau scene has hula dancers who perform Lovely Hula Hands, etc.

[1942 - Margie Hart, Robert Lowery, Gale Storm - black&white - 61 minutes] Fabled burlesque stripper Margie Hart stars in this low-budget film that's a mix of WW II intrigue, comedy, and sexual innuendo. An exotic Pacific island is being used by Nazis to link up with the Japanese, and American agents are sent in to investigate, posing as shipwreck survivors. But they mostly chase after the island women, who want to marry them and go to New York. Includes hula dancing and Hawaiian music. 

[1942 - George Sanders, Herbert Marshall, Elena Verdugo - black&white - 89 minutes] A fictionalized account of the life of Paul Gauguin as taken from the book by W. Somerset Maugham. The story of a middle-aged bourgeois stockbroker who deserts his wife and children to pursue the life of a Bohemian artist first in Paris and then later in Tahiti. In Tahiti he marries a beautiful native woman but forsakes all love in his obsession with artistic beauty. However his marvelous paintings cannot overcome the cruelty and insensitivity that eventually destroys him.

[1943 - Andy Devine, Allan Jones, Jane Frazee, Burnu Acquanetta, Four Step Brothers, Lester Horton Dancers - black & white - 62 minutes] Two inhabitants of a small tropical island, one a tribal chief and the other a beachcomber, try to sell their little paradise to a millionaire. Lots of musical numbers and hula including Savage Serenade, Tropic Lullaby, Blue Mist, Chant of the Tom Tom, Manhattan Isle, Isle of Romance, and I've Set My MInd on You.

[1948 - John Lund, Wanda Hendrix, Monty Wooley, Hilo Hattie - black & white - 101 minutes] An Irreverent comedy about an heir to millions who disappears in Hawaii and is supposedly addle-brained. He is replaced by a look-alike for the reading of the will, but the plot thickens when the look-alike is attracted to the real heir's sister. Then the real heir reappears with an Hawaiian wife and two hapa-haole children.

[1949 - Ron Randall, Devera Burton, Richard Benedict - black&white - 58 minutes] An action-packed south seas tale based on the novel by Herman Melville. A sea captain and the natives of the island of Taviti are cursed because he stole two giant black pearls from the eyes of their shark god tiki idol. The captain now returns with his beautiful daughter, a crewman who loves her, and a mysterious island stowaway who wants to return the pearls. Intrigue, murder, and love intertwine with an amazing underwater fight between an octopus and an eel, and another fight between tigers.

[1957 - Jon Hall, John Carradine, Peter Lorre, Charles Mau'u - black&white - 66 minutes] In this action-adventure film a sea captain returns to his favorite south sea island to find the once happy natives have been enslaved by pearl hunting rogues. He is quickly taken captive and as the natives are forced to dive deeper and deeper for the pearls many are drowned. A lovely island princess tries to help him and they fall in love. "An exciting story of passionate love and high adventure in the South Pacific!"
